Our Story
For a couple of local boys, the allure of Old Florida never loses its hold. So it’s not surprising that Gecko’s Hospitality Group owners Mike Gowan and Mike Quillen acquired a restaurant known by locals since the 1950s, when Captain Ben and Isa Mae Dunn created what was originally known as Fisherman’s Wharf Marina–at Marker 4, for those who prefer to travel by boat.
Keeping all the old charm, Mike and Mike added the large tiki to increase outdoor dining space, enhanced the menu and brought the top-shelf hospitality for which the Gecko’s Hospitality Group is known. Dockside Waterfront Grill, still at Marker 4, remains rich in history, big fish stories and some of the freshest seafood and best views anywhere.
